Our Commitment to Affordable Homeownership
At Habitat for Humanity of Boone County, we believe every hardworking individual and family deserves the stability and opportunity that comes with homeownership. That’s why we partner with families to build simple, decent, and affordable homes.
The low cost of our homes is made possible by the incredible support of our community. Generous donations and volunteer efforts help keep building costs down, allowing us to sell homes to approved families with 0% interest loans and no profit, making the dream of homeownership achievable for those who need it most.
Classes limited to eight families per month (max two per family)
On the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m., Habitat for Humanity of Boone County hosts an orientation class for anyone interested in homeownership opportunities in Boone County. Registration is required, and space is limited—so be sure to sign up early! Come join us to learn more about the process and how you can take the first steps toward owning your own home.
There are three criteria for Habitat Boone County homeownership:
1. A need for housing
2. Ability to pay
3. Willingness to partner
