WHO WE ARE
Overview
Habitat for Humanity of Boone County has an open-door policy. We welcome anyone who shares our belief that everyone needs a safe, decent, affordable place to live, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people.
Since 1984, we have built and repaired more than 70 houses in neighborhoods across Boone County and the world. We believe shelter is a basic human need and Habitat Boone County strives to achieve its goal of eliminating substandard housing by making decent, sustainable, and afforable housing a reality for all.
Partner Homeowners
Partner Families are partners with us throughout the whole process from contributing sweat equity hours helping to build their home to making their monthly mortgage payment. Meet some of our homeowners.
Meet the people who put the Habitat mission into action: our valued Board Members, our wonderful Executive Director, and our amazing staff!
Together with volunteers and future homeowners, Habitat Boone County has improved the housing stock throughout our county, by investing millions into our local community to revitalize neighborhoods across Boone County and creating more access to affordable housing.
Keep up to date with all our achievements, special events, housing initiatives, and affordable housing projects.
Habitat for Humanity of Boone County is an Equal Employment Opportunity company and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or other protected status.
"Habitat gave us a sense of community, renewed spirit and hope. We feel there have been angels in our lives sometimes whispering.... 'There is hope..... there is hope.'"
